Providing ceremonies without religion since 2004

OCT 2021: I always said that I wanted every funeral I delivered to be up to the standard I would want for my own family. For that reason, after the extraordinary times we've just lived through, I am choosing to take a break from working with new clients. If I've already worked with your family, and you would like me to work with you again, please get in touch.

HOW I WORK
My promise to you is that together we will create a memorable, personal funeral service that truly reflects the individual. Whether in a crematorium, a woodland burial ground, a cemetery or another suitable location, I can tell your loved one's story accurately, in your own words.

By spending time with you and yours, listening and asking questions, I build up a picture of who your loved one was, and what mattered to them. I feel honoured when a family entrusts their story to me, and I make sure each is written to the standard I would want for a member of my own family. Every single script is unique; even the introduction and closing words are tailored to suit the individual.

By their nature, every ceremony has to be right first time. Regardless of who you choose as a celebrant, look for someone who has adopted the Funeral Celebrancy Council accord. You may find their Working with Funeral Celebrants: Points for Excellence useful in deciding who to work with.

Although my ceremonies contain no religious content, I work hard to ensure that all are welcome, and that everyone feels included on the day, whatever their personal beliefs.

I am based in Colchester and usually work in Essex and Suffolk, although I am happy to negotiate travelling further.
